Sage 500 ERP 2014 has just been released and it’s worth upgrading to the new version because of these five essential new features. Sage’s brochure is lengthy and time consuming to read (although it is very, very pretty), so here’s all the info a busy manufacturer needs.
1. It fits larger email addresses.
Got some really long email addresses in your database? The new version of Sage 500 ERP can finally track email addresses longer than 40 characters. Count your own email address and see how many characters it is. I’ve got 26. You?
2. It fixes billing issues fast.
Reverse Applications allows your accounting department to correct errors as they find them, instead of having to go through an enormous, multi-step correction process that takes time and irks waiting customers.
3. It helps you sell your inventory.
Sage Inventory Advisor lets you know what you should order and when and why. That way, your customers will be able to buy what they want when they want it—no stock outs. Plus, with Sage 500 ERP’s inventory analysis tools, you’ll be able to discount older items to move them out quickly.
4. It collects money super-fast.
Sage Payment Solutions now processes electronic funds transfer (EFT) payments so you process more payments, faster and easier. Want to process direct deposit, direct debit, purchase orders and, of course, credit card payments within your ERP? Sage 500 ERP has got you covered.
5. It’s easier to use.
Invoice improvements, including sales order numbers and line item numbers are now printed directly on the invoice. This makes it easier for your customers and you to cross reference important information immediately.
