We at SWK Technologies are very excited about Sage Summit, and all of our offices across the nation have been brainstorming, planning, preparing, meeting tight deadlines, and scheduling—all for the best four days of the Sage-centric year: Sage Summit 2014.

#SageSummit
This year’s Summit is in Las Vegas, and we can’t wait to go. Because we’re so excited, we want to help those of you out there who either haven’t been to Summit, or who don’t quite have your Summit experience all planned out yet. We’ll be providing an introduction to Summit geared toward the uninitiated. We’ll be talking about the logistics of Summit (how to get there, where to stay, etc.). We’ll also be talking about the various sessions at Summit, and then we’ll be live-blogging Summit as it happens so that even if you can’t make it, you’ll feel like you did.
Are you ready? Our first post talks about who attends Sage Summit, and what’s there.
Who attends Sage Summit?
Summit is built for and filled with people who want to grow their business. Summit will have many Sage product users and resellers, but even if you’re not a Sage customer, you can still attend Summit. Basically, if you want to learn and share your ideas, and you think your business is ready to go to the next level, Sage Summit 2014 is the place to do that.
What’s at Sage Summit 2014?
First off, there are a lot of speakers. With the option to listen to the owners and CEOs of small- to mid-sized businesses, as well as celebrities and people who have dedicated their time and energy into making their own, or other peoples’ business dreams a success—there’s sure to be someone there who has faced the struggles you’re going through, and who can help you out. So that you can home right in on the help you need, Summit 2014 is divided into six tracks.
1. Business Performance in the Digital Age
In a BYOD world, today’s businesses face the challenge of tracking data and growing revenues with telecommuters, as well as far-flung supply chain members. The sessions in this track bring you tools and tips to make your modern business a success.
2. Industry Best Practices
For those of you in industries that require more specific processes and operations (such as manufacturing), these sessions will clarify the best practices that apply to your needs.
3. Managing Risk and Data Security
After Heartbleed, XP’s retirement warnings and zero-day bug, and rampant data theft from many high-profile companies, it’s clear that computer security can no longer be placed at the bottom of your “To Do” pile. These sessions teach you how to stay safe and reduce company risk in the new digital age.
4. Maximizing Your Workforce and Benefits
If you or your HR department feel that managing a mix-up of Millennials, Baby Boomers, and Gen-Xers takes a lot of juggling… you’re not alone. These sessions teach you how to keep your diverse workforce happy and productive, and will provide hiring and retention tips as well. In addition, these sessions also demystify common business owner headaches, such as the aligning your company to the requirements of the Affordable Care Act.
5. Navigating the Regulatory Landscape
Today’s global economy introduces a host of new tax and regulatory compliance hazards—and the more you succeed in this connected world, the more vulnerable you are to audits and penalties. These sessions help your business stay compliant and introduce you to the tools you need so that you can breathe easier and just focus on growing your business.
6. Strengthening Sales, Marketing, and Customer Relationships
Social media, email, phone calls, live chat, telecommuting customer service reps, field selling, mobile apps… the variety of the new customer-service chain that is available to today’s businesses can be overwhelming. If you feel like your business can’t keep up with your customers’ need for information and interaction, you need to learn tricks the experts use to achieve customer service success and brand loyalty. These sessions get your customer service offerings up to speed.
It’s going to be an amazing month as we prepare (and go to) Summit, so come back and follow the blog each day to stay up to date.
And hey, Happy Sage Summit Month!
