May 2, 2022 (EAST HANOVER, NJ) – SWK Technologies, Inc. announced today that it is joining the Sage Partner Cloud as a Strategic Hosting Provider, allowing Sage 100 and Sage 300 customers to leverage the Sage Cloud in addition to SWK’s Secure Cloud Hosting (SCH) services. SCH is also now recognized as an accredited Sage Partner cloud platform joining other third-party solutions on the Sage Price List.
The Sage Partner Cloud program was launched in 2020 to grant Sage ERP users a clear, seamless pathway to the cloud from their traditionally on-premise software. While Sage 100cloud (formerly Sage 100c) and Sage 300cloud (formerly Sage 300c) offer cloud connectivity, only by hosting their applications can Sage 100 and Sage 300 customers gain the advantages of SaaS-based features. These include access to real-time updates (such as security patches), scalable storage online, and automated business continuity procedures.
Migration to cloud-based environments steadily grew even before the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak, but increased significantly during the global pandemic as many organizations were forced to shift operations to a Work from Home (WFH) paradigm. The Sage Partner Cloud was deployed to enable on-premise Sage ERP users to be able to retain the data still in use with their legacy systems, remain in the Sage ecosystem and keep pace with competitors leveraging new technologies.
Sage 100 and Sage 300 customers seeking added cybersecurity for their hosted applications and data have the option of engaging SWK’s Secure Cloud Hosting, which helps plug in the security gaps that can form internally in cloud networks. Mass market hosting providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) harden server defenses on their end, but leave the burden of protecting local endpoints and user access in the hands of their clients. Many SMBs lack the resources, expertise and bandwidth to oversee every network security requirement around the clock, leaving them exposed to both external and insider threats.
SWK’s Secure Cloud Hosting services combine modern cybersecurity solutions with best practice and proactive intrusion monitoring run by our security operations center (SOC). The SOC team manages network security on the back end of the customer’s environment, hunting for hacker footprints and responding to incidents before a potential breach can spread throughout other systems. This methodology ensures that Sage ERP customers hosted in SWK’s Secure Cloud are leveraging human cyber intelligence coupled with modern workstation protections to guarantee 360-degree cyber defense, active 24x7x365.
As Secure Cloud Hosting is now available on the Sage Price List, certified Sage value-added resellers (VARs) are able to white label SCH for resale while receiving tier credit. This allows VARs to improve their margins as a Sage partner by adding to their portfolio of Sage-certified ISV (independent software vendor) solutions. Partners are able to choose between Sage Partner Cloud’s Microsoft Azure environment or one hosted by SCH to migrate their Sage 100 and Sage 300 customers to the cloud – contact SWK Technologies about additional limited time offers on white label hosting opportunities.
Additional cybersecurity and network management benefits available with Secure Cloud Hosting include the following:
- Managed backup and disaster recovery planning
- Endpoint protection
- HTML 5 remote app or full desktop access
- NIST standards for data security and compliance
- Servers secured in a SSAE 16 Data Facility monitored 24×7
- Enterprise-class, N+1/2 resilient infrastructure
- Microsoft Hyper V technologies
- Parallels remote technology with SSL security
- Unmetered traffic
- Up to 75 GB of data with additional space available on-demand
- Microsoft Excel license
- Site-to-site VPN
SWK has helped many existing Sage 100 users migrate to single-tenant and hybrid cloud environments already, including West Coast-based manufacturer Icon Foods, who decided to take advantage of Secure Cloud Hosting while migrating from QuickBooks to Sage ERP. Instead of investing in new hardware to expand their onsite IT infrastructure, Icon Foods opted to leverage a hybrid instance that shared resources between their existing on-premise servers and an optimized SCH environment built with input from SWK’s consultants.
