Top Enhancements in Sage 100 2024
Sage 100 version 2024 includes these top enhancements:
- More comprehensive audit tracking
Improve security compliance by tracking changes, deletions, and additions for all data related to the main entity, including data for vendors, customers, employees, and items.
- Tracking for 1099 and non-1099 vendor data
A new “1099 Form on File” checkbox shows you whether you have a vendor’s W-9 on file. You also have the ability to retain taxpayer IDs or SSNs for non-1099 vendors. All data is encrypted.
- New “Received” order status for purchase orders
This new order status offers a way for you to indicate when purchase orders have been received but not invoiced. For increased insight, you can print various orders and reports based on the new “Received” status.
- Utilities to “Delete” and “Change” warehouses
When you need to close a physical warehouse or delete a virtual warehouse that you created for scrap, returns, or multi-bin, save time and effort with the new “Delete” option. “Change” helps you renumber or merge existing warehouse codes in your data files.
- Vendor “Date Established” field
Easily see when a vendor was established in your system with this field that defaults to the system date on which a vendor was created. This date can be modified, if necessary.
Additional Sage 100 2024 enhancements include:
- The ability to close a partially received purchase order
- A viewer toggle that switches between item display and item filter views in Lot/Serial Inquiry
- Email notifications for failed or succeeded jobs in Task Scheduler
- The ability to identify reports without having to open them as PDF files
- An easy-to-access button offering a one-stop shop for resources
- Auto-detection of your Windows version (64-bit or 32-bit) during installation, for automatic installation of the correct Sage version
- Cost calculation roll-up enhancements for Production Management
- Configurable red text that gives better insight into Sales Order quantity information
- More efficient search options for the Advanced Lookup Engine (ALE) and easier updates for autocomplete
More Administrative Control
If you are an administrator, you will be glad to hear that Sage 100 2024 brings you even more control over user logins and your security settings. In addition, Sage renamed some system options so you can quickly and easily personalize your system settings.
Key changes include:
- Restricted Mode, which allows you to limit users who can log in while you are testing modules, updating your system, or adding new user-defined fields
- New security options, offering you more granular control over user privileges across a wide range of modules
- The ability to securely access and enter information any time, even when files and functions are in use
Important Information
Keep your system running smoothly. Read these critical instructions before you update to Sage 100 version 2024.
- Inventory Requirements Planning (IRP) requires you to regenerate your IRP data if you are upgrading from Sage 100 2023.2 or earlier, so your Sage system can apply the latest schema changes and fixes. These improve linking for components back to parent data, especially when the same subassembly appears on a BoM multiple times.
- Production Management has updated its module code and now uses “PM” as its prefix. The latest version of Sage 100 features data conversion to match your data to the new code, but if you use a standalone version of Production Management, you must be on version 2021.x to take advantage of this capability.
