Quick Overview of EEOC Reporting for 2022 & 2023
What it is:
- EEO Reports – The EEOC collects workforce data which includes employee pay, gender, race and ethnicity from employers above a certain threshold. This data is collected via mandatory reports submitted by employer organizations.
- EEO-1 Component 1 Report – EEO-1 is a mandatory filing required of all private sector employers with 100 or more employees. Federal contractors and subcontractors with 50 or more employees are also required to file.
- EEO-4 Report – EEO-4 is a mandatory, biennial data collection required of all State and local governments with 100 or more employees.
Important Dates:
- Reporting opened on October 31, 2023.
- Submissions are due by December 5, 2023.
What to Do:
- EEO-1 – Visit the EEO-1 website for online filing, an instruction booklet, and to get additional help.
- EEO-4 – Visit the EEO-4 website for access to the online filing system, an instruction booklet, and to get additional help.
EEO-1 Changes for Multi-Establishment Employers:
For 2022 EEO-1 reports, multi-establishment employers will now no longer need to file “types” based on location size. Instead, use the new “Establishment-Level Report” for all non-headquarters locations.
Consolidated Reports will also now automatically include data from the Headquarters Report and each Establishment-level report. Please ensure that all data in each report is accurate, however.
