Have you tried using keyboard shortcuts? You should. “Keyboard shortcuts,” also called “hotkeys,” allow you to press a combination of keys to perform computer functions, as opposed to having to move your hand back and forth to your mouse. This saves you a lot of time in the long run. The great news is that there are lots of keyboard shortcuts for your Sage 100 ERP system.
What’s a common keyboard shortcut?
If you’ve ever used Ctrl+C to copy a line of text from the Internet, or within a Word document, that was a keyboard shortcut. (If you haven’t tried the Ctrl+C shortcut, please do. Right-clicking everything and selecting copy is really a time killer. While you’re at it, try using Ctrl+V to paste what you’ve copied. )
How do I use a keyboard shortcut?
Keyboard shortcuts require you to press multiple keys at one time, in order to pass secret coded messages to your computer. To properly use the Ctrl+C function, for instance, you’ll follow these steps:
- Hold down the “Ctrl” button with your pinky.
- Tap the “C” key once.
- Release the “Ctrl” button.
Done.
It’s kind of like using the “Shift” key, actually. And you can use it to save time at work.
Really? I can do this in Sage 100 ERP?
