What’s New in Sage 100 Payroll 2.21.2?
The biggest changes in this latest version of Sage 100 Payroll relate to taxes and pension plan reporting, but there are also quite a few important updates that will help ease your payroll tasks. Let’s dive into the details.
- New Tax Liability Report
This new report helps your company gain fast insight into your tax liability, so you can ensure accurate payments while maximizing your cash flow and overall liquidity.
How it works: This report shows your company’s tax liability either by a specific quarter or a range of check dates. You can choose whether you would like to print your liability for Federal, State, or Local taxes (or a combination of the three), and you can easily filter the report by selecting one or more tax groups.
Where to find it: The Tax Liability Report is located under the Reports menu.
- New Tax History Report
This new report for Sage 100 Payroll provides your business with up-to-date and fully available historical tax data that is right at your fingertips anytime.
How it works: This report shows the specifics for your company’s taxes, as well as your employees’ taxes and taxable wages by tax code. You can choose your parameters based on a specific quarter or a range of check dates, and you can select whether you would like to print Federal, State, or Local taxes (or a combination of the three).
In addition, you can specify which tax reporting groups should be included in the report, and you can filter your view by tax group or other tax codes.
Where to find it: The Tax History Report is located under the Reports menu.
- Updates to Pension Plan Reports
In previous versions of Payroll, the Pension Plan Reports only included the hours and wages of employees for whom there was a pension plan deduction. This new update saves your company time and effort on data gathering by reconciling your Pension Plan Reports with your Check History Report.
How it works: A new checkbox, labeled “Print Checks with No Deductions”, has been added to your Pension Plan Reports. This checkbox is selected by default so that checks without deductions will now be printed on your reports.
If you prefer the previous functionality, simply unselect the checkbox to exclude checks without deductions on your Pension Plan Reports.
Where to find it: The “Print Checks with No Deductions” checkbox is located on your Pension Plan Audit Report and your Pension Plan History Report.
